Our Goals:
Our Goal: In accordance with CSI's goals and critical success factors,
the Faculty and Staff Development Committee is to provide increased opportunities
for participation of all employees in staff development activities to enable faculty and staff
to meet changing student and community needs and utilize new technology.
Our Meetings:
The Faculty & Staff Development Committee (FSDC) meets at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. The FSDC assists administration in sponsoring:
- Major speakers for Faculty and Staff Inservice events
- Computer classes and resources through the Instructional Technology Center (ITC)
- Minigrants for travel and development for individuals and departments through the CSI Foundation, Inc.
- Interdepartmental retreats (and applications) that allow better delivery of programs and services to our students.
- Teleconferences on teaching strategies, new technologies and management issues
- Videos and reference books in the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) in the Taylor Administration Building.
- A Spring Recognition Picnic to celebrate the accomplishments of our employees
- Innovative programs and development opportunities of interest to all college employees
